Remember those great Belleri Porteur bars from France? Of course Belleri is long out of business, but those handlebars are still sought-after. So, Velo-Orange decided to make their own Porteur bars. They are 480mm wide; reach is 140mm. The grip area is about 130mm, and they have about 15mm of rise or drop. The clamp area is 25.4mm. The quality and polishing are very nice. The transition from the grip to the curve on the originals was a bit abrupt; The Velo-Orange version has a gentler transition. The curves on both versions are fuller and, we think, prettier than the somewhat similar Champs Elysées bars used on the old Herse bikes. These bars are available in two tubing diameters, 23.8mm road-sized and 22.2mm mountain bike-sized (clamp area is 25.4mm on both): - 22.2mm diameter (MTB-size) bars accept MTB brake levers and clamp-on shifters. They do not work with bar-end shifters. The only inverse levers that work are Dia Compe levers in the 22.2mm size. - 23.8mm diameter (road-size) bars accept standard inverse brake levers, standard bar end shifters, and 23.8mm city brake levers. In short, anything made for road bars fits. They do not accept MTB levers or shifters.

We threw in a bit of everything for our take on the ultimate gravel handlebar setup. Rise, sweep, and flare make for an ultra-comfortable handlebar that keeps you in control no matter the terrain. Add the Cruise Control Top and Drop Grips and our Really Long Bar Tape to get to next-level comfort and performance. For the rider that wants to go everywhere, the Kitchen Sink Handlebar is the bar that has everything. With widths from 44 cm up to 50 cm, it's clear we believe in wide. But the added stability and control of a wider bar should not come at the cost of comfort. So we've thrown everything into this handlebar: - 20mm RISE means less pressure on the hands and a broad range of fit options. - 7° SWEEP means the bar is positioned where your hands want to be, whether you're on the flats, the hoods or the drops. - 25° FLARE on a compact drop means a stable, aerodynamic drop position that is actually comfortable enough to use. - Optional endurance loop adds an alternative aerodynamic riding position and a perfect spot for gear storage and mounting accessories.

Tom Ritchey has been riding off-road and riding far – and designing products for such adventures - decades before anyone thought to call it “gravel riding” or “bikepacking.” His real-life experiences directly inform every product made by Ritchey – such as the beloved VentureMax handlebar. With its short reach, shallow drop and purposeful flare, the original VentureMax offers comfort and confidence to legions of riders looking to settle in and have some fun on those dirty drop bar adventures. Like its WCS- and Comp-level siblings, the new RL1 VentureMax is influenced by those life experiences and inspires riders to chase gravel and other mixed surface adventures. But the RL1 VentureMax also delivers Ritchey’s unwavering reliability and practical performance for budget-minded riders looking for components to upgrade their current ride or to complete their next build. With its round tops, short reach, and shallow drop the RL1 VentureMax offers multiple hand positions for comfort and confidence on any ride. Bolstering its comfort and performance in the rough stuff is its wide 24-degree flare at the drops. But it’s the Bio-bend in the drop that adds yet another design element that is practical and welcome for whatever surface you choose to ride upon and for however long your adventure endures. - RL1 VentureMax is reliability and practical performance for budget-minded riders - Round tops, short reach, and shallow drop offer multiple hand positions for comfort and confidence - 24-degree flare with Bio-bend at the drops - 6 deg backsweep

The ergonomic evolution of Ritchey handlebars continues with the ground-breaking Comp Beacon. The most notable feature is its super-wide 36° drop flare. Aside from the unmatched ergonomic comfort and stability afforded by this wide flare, it also allows for plenty of space for handlebar packs. When riding in the drops, the Beacon doubles down on comfort with a very shallow 80mm drop and a shorter than usual reach. The Evo-style top section offers broad support for your hands, and it has a gentle backward sweep for a more natural hand position when riding the tops. The unconventional aesthetic of the Comp Beacon belies its comfort and practicality. Taking inspiration from the randonneur world, the Beacon allows an easy transition of the hands around the bar without upsetting bike handling when loaded with gear. The gentle change of hand position allows the body to stretch and move while keeping the bike stable. Ideal for adventure touring and bikepacking, on asphalt or gravel trails—or even for urban riding—the unique Comp Beacon brings a whole new level of comfort and control. - Material: double-butted 6061 alloy - Bend style: bio-bend - Top style: ergonomic - Width: 400, 420, 440, 460mm - Drop: 80mm - Reach: 65mm - Drop flare: 36° - Flare out: 6° - Backsweep: 4.5° - Clamp diameter: 31.8mm - Accessory mount diameter: 31.8mm - Compatible with Shimano EW-RS910 junction box - Clip-on compatibility: yes - Other features: drilled at bar end for Shimano Di2 EW-RS910 junction box routing, C260 compatible - Weight: 300g (420mm)

Velo Orange's Milan bar is so named because it's a great bar for converting an old Italian racing frame with a short top tube. Actually, it's great for converting any frame with a short top tube into a city bike. Folks who like a more aggressive position on a city bike will like it, too. The width is about 570mm and reach is 110mm; there is around 25mm (approximately one inch) of rise. The grips sweep back about 35 degrees, and the grip area is about 170mm long. The clamp area is 25.4mm. The material is polished aluminum alloy. Milan bars work with regular MTB (22.2mm) grips, brakes, shifters, 22.2 inverse brake levers, etc., but not bar-ends.

Fast, light, sporty and agile. Who would have thought that the SQlab ergonomics experts are also quite good in high-tech, material science and carbon manufacturing. - Stability: Syntace and SQlab are the only manufacturers to remain in the big bike magazine break test without damage. - Weight: At 200g, the handlebar is one of the lightest and most stable on the market. - Ergonomics: With a sporty sitting position and a handlebar width from 740mm and under 9° backsweep, the wrists are always overstretched. SQlab currently has the monopoly for sporty MTB handlebars. - Damping: The 311 FL-X has been developed with regard to flex behavior. In an elaborate study we were able to prove that almost all high-quality handlebars have damping characteristics between 0% and 15%, depending on the intensity. The 311 FL-X is between 20% and 30%. The higher flex has no disadvantages in steering precision. The steering forces are clearly below the vertical forces. - Area of use: Marathon, Cross Country and Trail bikes with sporty sitting position and under 130mm suspension. The pictured stem is not included in the scope of delivery. The 15mm or 30mm Rise (handlebar height) allows an individual adjustment of the sitting position. - Area of use: MTB race - Width: 740mm - Shortened maximum width: 720mm - Backsweep: 16° - Upsweep: 4° - Material: carbon - Clamping: 31.8mm - Downsweep: 0° - Stretch: 0mm
