After 4 months and over 1,200 miles on the BKOOL Pro, I couldn't be more satisfied with the product. I no longer hate riding indoors and actually look forward to it. The software offers limitless options as you can ride velodromes, routes all over the world, download your own video and/or GPS info to simulate your own rides (I haven't found the need to do this yet), design your own training programs, take a spin style spin class, or simply ride using the BKOOL app on your phone. While I thought that riding various routes all over the world and viewing the changing scenery as I rode would be one of the highlights, I'm most impressed by the level of engagement it offers, especially when you're riding with/against other riders. Also, it gives pretty accurate wattage feedback, so it definitely takes your training to a higher level. I started using the unit at the start of the year and come April when I was able to get outside to ride my ride times were comparable to what they were at the end of last years 7,200 mile season (despite still carrying some of my winter weight). I had been looking at more expensive units (Hammer and Kickr), but after trying the BKOOL Pro at Emerys it provided an experience beyond my expectations for about 1/2 the cost. Beyond highly recommending the BKOOL Pro, I would try it before you buy it and to get it from the bike shop. I did encounter an issue with the drive unit, but Emerys worked with the manufacturer and I had a replacement unit within a few days. Had I purchased it on line I would have had to deal with shipping and likely weeks without a trainer.
